Alexis is a specialist general practitioner and former Australian Army Medical Officer who has been practicing medicine for over a decade. She has worked closely with veterans and first responders in both defence and civilian emergency settings, supporting people across the full spectrum of their service, from recruitment and active duty through to life after discharge. She brings that same depth of understanding to police, paramedics, firefighters, and correctional officers, whose work carries its own lasting toll.

As a veteran with close family and friends who still serve, and having worked alongside first responders throughout her career, Alexis understands the impact high-stakes operational roles can have on health and wellbeing, whether that impact comes from deployment or from years on the front line of an emergency service. Her work is guided by that insight, and by a genuine commitment to care that is personal, thoughtful and honest.

Alexis believes the person in front of her is what matters most. It is the belief that shaped With Me With You from the start and still guides her today. She takes the time to understand the individual and knows that good care begins with good conversation.

When she’s not working with veterans and first responders, Alexis runs With You Kenya, an international charity she founded to improve education, health and community wellbeing in rural Kenya. She cares deeply about her work in Africa and is always happy to talk about ways to make a difference in the world.
